FAQ

Everything You Need to Know Before You Book Your Dumpster

Whether you’re scheduling a roll-off for your next cleanout or exploring front-load service for your business, EZ Dumpster is here to make the process simple, clear, and hassle-free.

We’ve answered the most common questions below, and if you don’t find what you need, just give us a call.

We’re local. We pick up. And we’ll get you squared away fast.

Dumpster Basics

What sizes do you offer?
We offer 20-yard and 30-yard roll-off dumpsters only. No 10-yard bins, no household toters. We focus on projects that need serious capacity.

What are the weight limits?

  • 20-yard dumpster: 3 tons included
  • 30-yard dumpster: 4 tons included

If you go over the included weight, there’s a per-ton overage fee. But most residential projects stay under.

How long can I keep the dumpster?
We offer 3-day, 7-day and 14-day rental periods. After that, daily extension fees apply.

Can I extend my rental if I need more time?
Yes — just call us and we’ll update your rental. We’re flexible.

Do I need to be home for delivery?
Yes, someone must be on site for delivery to confirm placement and sign a general liability waiver. No need to be home for pickup, as long as the dumpster is accessible.

What’s Allowed & What’s Not

What items are prohibited?

We can’t accept:

  • Tires
  • Appliances with refrigerant (fridges, AC units)
  • Hazardous chemicals
  • Electronic waste
  • Unsealed liquids

Do I need a permit?
Only if the dumpster is going on a public street. EZ Dumpster does not obtain permits; it’s up to the customer to check with their local municipality. We’ll walk you through this when you call.

Placement & Surface Questions

Can you place a dumpster in my yard or driveway?
Yes — as long as it’s a flat, accessible surface (concrete, asphalt, gravel or grass).

Will the dumpster damage my driveway?
It’s possible. Dumpsters may leave light scratches or scuffs that will fade with time on concrete or asphalt, especially if the surface is new. We recommend placing plywood underneath. If needed, we can supply wood — just ask.

What about rain or soft ground?
Wet conditions can lead to tire marks or ruts in grass. These usually fade with time but should be expected if placing on a soft surface.

Scheduling, Pickup & Emergencies

How soon can you deliver a dumpster?
We guarantee delivery within 24 business hours and we often get it there sooner. If you can give us a couple of days’ notice, even better.

What if I need a swap or a pickup?
Same rules apply — we aim for next-business-day turnaround. Swaps and pickups are typically completed within 24 hours on weekdays.

What happens if you show up and can’t deliver or pick up?
If access is blocked (e.g., a car in the way or no one is home for delivery), a minimum $150 dry-run fee applies based on mileage.

Do you offer emergency service?
For established clients, yes. If you’ve had a fire, accident or urgent cleanup need, email us at info@ezdumpster.com and we’ll do our best to respond promptly.
